Thinking of You

Hello there. I wanted to share with you this card I made for a friend. I had some Pacific Point and Baja Breeze cardstock (retired In Color) and ribbon that I wanted to use so I thought it would work well for a masculine card. Of course, you could subsitute any color you have. Chocolate Chip goes with ANY color! :) I layered Chocolate Chip in between and stamped my image in Chocolate Chip too. I sponged around the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.

Here is the recipe for this card:
Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set ( #113252)
Whisper White Cardstock (#100730)
Pacific Point Cardstock (retired)
Baja Breeze Cardstock (retired)
Chocolate Chip Cardstock (#102128)
Chocolate Chip Stampin' Ink (#100908)
Pacific Point Ribbon (retired)
Modern Label Punch (#116630)
Stamping Sponges (#101610)

I spent today making Christmas gift card holders for all of the gift cards I'm giving for Christmas. I don't usually give this many gift cards but with all the snow we've had and being out of town, I figured that was what I was going to give some people this year. I got this idea from I tweaked it a bit to make it my own and used lots of different Christmas colors. I hope you like them! If you would like the recipe to one gift card holder in particular, email me and I'll get it to you (! 3 more days till Christmas!!!!

"Girly" Birthday Card

Hope your having a great day! I am excited that I only have one more day to work until Thansgiving break!!

This is a cute "girly" birthday card I made. The base is the Melon Mambo cardstock(#115320) and the designer paper is the Razzleberry Lemonade (#115675). I stamped the balloons from the stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes" (#111618) and used the Stampin Markers (Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry - these come in a set of 6 - (#116329)) to color them in. The "Party Hearty" greeting comes from the stamp set Party Hearty (#111532) and it fits perfectly inside the Word Window punch (#105090) then layered on the Modern Label Punch (#116630) that was punched out in Rich Razzleberry cardstock (#115316). Very simple, yet very cute! Enjoy!
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

Simple "Thinking of You..." Card

I love super easy cards! This card is made with the Bashful Blue cardstock (#105120) and the Bashful Blue DSP(#112151). I used the stamp set Thoughts and Prayers (#113252) for the image. I layered the image on Bashful Blue cardstock and tilted it a tad to give it a little character. I just ordered the new Platinum Shimmer Paint (#116807) and I think I'm going to try it out on this card to give it a little sparkle! I hope you like this card. :)
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Today I have a Christmas Gift Card Holder that would be the perfect Christmas present for someone! I like to give gift cards and so here is a great way to make one super cute! This card is made with the Real Red cardstock (# 102482) and the Merry Moments Designer Paper (#115672). The belly band is made from Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650) and the bow is made with the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grograin Ribbon (#109051).  The image is from the Hostess Level 2 set Christmas Punch. I stamped the image in Garden Green ink (# 1022272) flipped the stamp over, removed the ink from the flower and used my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052) to color it back in. Then I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock (#101650) and then used the Scallop Oval Punch (#114889) to punch it out. This is a great Hostess stamp set because all the images have a coordinating punch! (that means no cutting! Yeah!)

On the inside, I used the Word Window punch (#105090) to cut the slit for the gift card.
Here are the dimensions for this card.
Real Red Cardstock : cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 3", 5 1/2", and 8"
Fold on score lines "accordian style"
Merry Moments DSP: cut @ 2 3/4" x 4" (adhere to front)
Apply adhesive to the back side (only put adhesive along the edge of the back side
so the gift card will slide in)
Belly Band: 1 1/2" x 7"
Wrap Belly Band around front of card and adhere.
Tie on your ribbon and add your greeting.

I hope you like this card!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

Faux Quilt Thanksgiving Card

Here is a card I made for fall/Thanksgiving. I saw this faux quilt idea from Dawn Griffith's website. The background card is Taken with Teal (#101584). I used 1 3/8" square punch (#103375) with the Autumn Meadows DSP (#116769). I puched random designs from the paper and layed them down side by side. Then I ran the squares through the Big Shot (#113439) using the Top Note Bigz Die (#113463) and tied a ribbon around it with the 1/4" Grograin Ribbon in Chocolate Chip (#109051). The acorn image is from the Autumn Splendor Stamp Set (#116503) in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I sponged around it and attached it to scallop circle (#109043). I used my Mat Pack (#105826) and my Paper-Piercing Tool (#116631) and poked a hole in each scallop. The greeting is from the Falling Leaves Stamp Set (#115368) and punched out with the Word Window Punch (#105090) and backed with the Modern Label Punch (#116630). I use this punch A LOT! I think it makes the perfect little touch and there are so many sayings that fit perfectly inside! I hope you like this card! I love the fall colors in this designer paper. They are beautiful!!
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

Baby Girl

A friend of mine from school had a baby shower this week and I had to make her a card. I haven't had to make many baby shower cards so I was a little skeptical. This card turned out better than I expected. I love the Dazzling Diamonds (#102023) with the pink cardstock! (Pink Pirouette is a retired in-color) I used the Animal Stories (#116716) stamp set and the Short & Sweet stamp set (#115108) for the greeting. "Welcome Baby" is stamped in Jet Black Stazon (#101406) and punched out with the Word Window Punch (#105090) and the Modern Label Punch (#116630) The star is made with the Large Star Punch (#110710) layered with the Star Punch (#109045). It has Dazzling Diamonds TOO!!! :) I layered designer paper on the base of the card. The ribbon is Whisper White organza ribbon (#114319) tied in a simple knot. My friend loved this card and I hope you do too!
Until next time, Happy Stampin!

Masculine Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my father-in-law last month. I used the stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes" (#111618) on Taken with Teal Cardstock (#101584). The Designer Paper is from the Autumn Meadows (#116769)  from the Holiday Mini. I used the Scallop Edge punch (#112091) on the DSP. I also used the new Modern Label Punch (#116630)  for the greeting. The greeting came from the stamp set Warm Words (#115108). I added the 5/8" Grograin Ribbon in Chocolate Chip (#109051) to give the card a nice little touch. Masculine cards are sometimes hard to make but this one worked out great! Enjoy.

Halloween Treat Bag

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been extremely busy and haven't had the chance. Anyway, I made this cute Halloween treat bag as a door prize at one of my latest workshops. I used the Fancy Favor Die (#115965) with the Cast-A-Spell DSP (#115677). On a Whisper White piece of cardstock I used my Haunting Jumbo Wheel (#112480). This is the first time I have got to use this wheel. When I bought it, silly me forgot to buy the handle so I had to wait to use it. I hate that I did that...I guess we learn from our mistakes. :) I stamped the pumpkin from the stamp set House of Haunts (#111574) in Pumpkin Pie (#105216). I used Yo-Yo Yellow Marker (#100050) to color in the eyes and the star on the trick-or-treaters. What a cute bag this made! I put some basket grass inside along with some candy! It was a hit!

Christ is Born Card

I am so addicted to Christmas cards!! I made this card using the "Christ is Born" Stamp Set (#111612). The background is Real Red Cardstock (#102482) stamped with the poinsettia image also in Real Red. I used Whisper White Cardstock (#100730) to stamp the image on. "Christ is Born" is stamped using the Stazon Black Ink (#101406). The white cardstock is backed with Basic Black Cardstock (#102851). To add a little touch, I stamped the poinsettia image in the corner of the white cardstock using the Real Red Ink (#103133). I used the 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch (#109047) to round the edges of the black and white cardstock. This is a very pretty, very simple Christmas card. I hope you like it! Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

It's Christmas Card Time!!!

Hi friends! I can't believe I am already making Christmas cards. It's just around the corner!!! I have these cute Christmas stamp sets and I couldn't wait to use them. This one is the Holiday Lineup stamp set (#111648). These little elves are so adorable!! The background card is Garden Green cardstock (#102584). The strip of designer paper is from the Merry Moments pack (#115672). I used my Big Shot to cut out the top note in Whisper White cardstock (#100730). The elves are stamped with black StazOn ink (#101406) on Whisper White cardstock (#100730) with a Real Read cardstock (#102482) backing. I used my Garden Green (#100080) and Real Read (#100052) Stampin' Write Markers to color the elves clothes and hats. I watercolored their hair with Close to Cocoa (#103139). The greeting is from the Stamp Set Many Merry Messages (#116586) stamped in Garden Green ink (#102272). Oh, and I sponged Real Read around the edge of the top note. I will be using this card at my November Stamp-a-Stack. I hope you love it as much as I do! I just love the traditional red and green for Christmas!!

Stamp-a-Stack Treats

These are some treats I made for my Stamp-a-Stack today. I had some fabulous people over and I thought I would treat them with these cute favors. I used the Big Shot (#113439) to make the top note with Chocolate Chip (#102128), More Mustard (#100946), and Really Rust (#100661) cardstok along with the Autumn Meadows Designer Paper (#116769) in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the 5/8" Chocolate Grograin Ribbon (#109051) for my bow. The cute cellophane bags are also from Stampin Up (#103104)! I filled them with candy corn and they were a hit! I think they are so cute. I hope you enjoy them as well!

Fall Punch Pumpkin Card

Happy Friday! I just wanted to share this fall card I made. I saw a card like this on another website but I can't remember where. I love pumpkins so I really liked making this card. The background is Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the pumpkin is the oval punch in the Pumpkin Pie cardstock also. I sponged around the edges then I used my Old Olive Stampin' Write to draw the squiggly vines around the top. The layers are Old Olive cardstock and Close to Cocoa. I have actually made this card with Chocolate Chip instead of Close to Cocoa and it looks nice! The greeting is from the Hostess Level 1 stamp sets. I used Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive for the greeting. We will be making this card for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack! Can't wait!
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

Happy Sunday! I wanted to share this card that I made for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack.  I hadn't used the new Soft Suede cardstock until this card. Not sure if I really like this color. I need to experiment more with it I guess. Anyway, the base of this card is Soft Suede cardstock  (#115318) and I used the Autumn Traditions Designer Paper (#115668). The stamp set is Falling Leaves (#115368) stamped in Always Artichoke (#105219), Ruby Red (#102259) and More Mustard (#103162).  I also used the Stampin' Up wheel Bright Blessings (#115626) in Soft Suede along the bottom of the card.  The ribbon is the 1/2" Polka-Dot Grograin Ribbon in Soft Suede (#115612).
Hope you like this card. I'm a really into the fall themed cards! More to come!

"Kindness" Card

This is a card I made using Cameo Coral cardstock and Very Vanilla cardstock. I actually gave this card as a thank you card to some of my dear friends for my birthday gifts. I used the greeting from the "Heard from the Heart" stamp set and the flower image is from the stamp set "Pocket Silhouettes". I used the Top Note die as a background and for stamping. This is the first card I have made using these colors and I absolutely love Cameo Coral. Very Simple and very cute! I hope you like this card!

Autumn Splendor

Fall is officially here! I absolutely love this card! I love the combination of fall colors with the teal. I made this card for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack. I got the new stamp set Autumn Splendor because I loved the leaves. I used Really Rust for the base of the card. I also used More Mustard and Very Vanilla along with the new fall designer paper in the Holiday Mini! I LOVE IT! The leaves are stamped in Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Really Rust. The greeting "Grateful" comes from the stamp set Falling Leaves. I punched the Taken with Teal using the new Modern Label Punch and the Word Window Punch for {Grateful}. Oh yeah, the base card is stamped with the Sanded background stamp. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.
The picture doesn't do it justice!! Enjoy!
Until next time, Happy Stampin'!

I used some of the new in colors to make this card. The base is Rich Razzleberry. I used the Top Note die on the Big Shot with the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper. The party hats and the "...and many more!" are colored with all of the different In Color Stampin' Write markers. I stamped the little candles on the background with the Rich Razzleberry. I love this card because it is so colorful! I hope you like it too!

"Just Buzzin' By" Card

Hi everyone! I just thought I would start this blog where I can post projects I'm doing and share with others. I will try to post once or twice a week!

This card is made with my favorite stamp set "Just Buzzin' By". The card is Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede. I used More Mustard and Soft Suede to watercolor the hive. The cute bee is colored with the Yo-Yo Yellow Stampin' Write Marker and the wings are colored with Blush Blossom. I used the 1-1/4" circle punch, the 1 3/8" circle punch and the scallop circle punch for the bee. I added doodle dots to each scallop edge.
Check back periodically to see what's new.

Until next time, Happy Stampin'!
